The CA Course Reporters Program offers First Tee Scholars who display a passion for the game of golf, outstanding scholastic achievement and community involvement, the opportunity to tell the story of the 2009 WGC-CA Championship to other young golf fans. Through the program, Johnie learned about every aspect of the tournament. His experience included everything from interviewing caddies to taking an inside look at the players’ locker room. Johnie had a chance to have a in-person interview with PGA Tour player, Retief Goosen, participate in a press conference with Davis Love III and meet with several members of the golf media who shared tips about what it’s like to cover a pro golf event.
