WHAT'S INVOLVED

We teach golf skills and “life skills” to kids, ages 8 – 18, at three facilities in the greater Seattle area: Jackson Park Golf Course 1000 NE 135th St, Seattle Jefferson Park Golf Course 4101 Beacon Ave S., Seattle Crossroads Par 3 Golf Course 15801 NE 15th St., Bellevue, and Kent's Riverbend Golf Complex 2019 West Meeker Street, Kent.  Classes are held once a week, every week, for 8 weeks during the spring, 8 weeks each summer, and 4 weeks during the fall. They typically last 2-3  hours, with the exception of our TARGET introductory classes for participants 5-7 years old.
No students under 5 years old will be accepted into the program. Birth Certificates may be requested at class.

FALL CLASS SIGN UP

Fall Classes are now closed. Please email Shelby at
Shelby@thefirstteeseattle.org to be placed on the 2011 mailing list and to be notified about spring class offerings.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The First Tee of Greater Seattle doesn’t provide refunds. The classes are heavily subsidized and cost $500 to provide to each participating young person. We charge a nominal $69 - $79 enrollment/membership fee to pay for the administrative costs associated with membership. If your child has not yet attended any classes and will not be attending any classes for the duration of the calendar year, we will provide a tax deductible acknowledgement letter for your fee as a charity donation to the program.

PARENTS AND FAMILY, WE NEED YOU

All parents are expected to volunteer during the course of the program.  Click here to download a Volunteer Form.  There are a number of volunteer opportunties available and you do not have to be a golfer to participate.

YOUR PARTICIPATION HAS BEEN SUBSIDIZED
The First Tee of Greater Seattle seeks to make the game of golf and its inherent life skills affordable and accessible to anyone who wants to participate. For this reason your annual registration fee of just $79 has been subsidized by our program through fundraisers, grants, corporations and individual donations. Your registration fee provides the following services:

 ·        2 hrs of weekly instruction for 8 weeks in the spring

·        2  hrs of weekly instruction for 8 weeks in the summer

·        2 hrs of weekly instruction for 4 weeks in the fall

·        Golf course access during and outside of programming hours at three golf courses

·        Access to practice facilities including the driving range

·        Access to golf equipment on a weekly basis

·        Trips to a local PGA Champions Tour Event

·        Opportunities for national trips and college scholarships

The full cost to participate in a year of The First Tee Program is $500. We request that if you are able to pay more than the subsidized $79 annual registration fee, please make a tax deductible gift.  More than 33% of our participants are on full scholarship to cover the cost of the registration fee. Your donation will allow us to serve more youth who may not otherwise be able to participate.
