Volunteering and Coaching

Can you imagine a better feeling than inspiring a young person to achieve their personal best? Do you believe that the game of golf provides valuable life lessons, best discovered with the guidance of a positive adult mentor?

Are you motivated to apply your skills in the nonprofit sector? There are many ways to support The First Tee, and we look forward to having you involved.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions (see below for details):

Step 2: Attend an Orientation

Join us for one of the following dates to learn more about the chapter, program, and the role of a volunteer or assistant coach:

Fall Workshop #1: Saturday, September 3 (9:00-11:00am)

Fall Workshop #2: Sunday, September 11 (9:00-11:00am)

Both workshops held at Jefferson Park GC. Meet in the main clubhouse.

We are actively hiring coaches for 2016!

Coaches are at the heart of The First Tee's mission. They represent a diversity of ages, backgrounds, and professional experience, but they all share a passion for golf, teamwork, having fun, and making a difference.

If you are interested in being considered for a coaching position, please download the application and the Coach Handbook then submit that and an updated resume to Evan Johnsen, Program Director. This is a part-time position, and applications will be accepted on a seasonal and rolling basis.
