Seattle Participant Speaks with Colin Powell Seattle participant, Steve Sholdra, recently traveled to San Jose to speak alongside Colin Powell at The First Tee Annual Meeting. Steve was one of four First Tee participants from around the nation chosen to speak at The First Tee Network Meeting Closing Gala. Steve spoke to a crowd of more than 600 people about how the First Tee has shaped his life and allowed him to become a "Force for Good" for his community. |

Youth in golf Program for kids teaches more than golf skill by Doug Armintrout
"They may never be great golfers, but golf can help them become great people."
That line expresses the essence of The First Tee of Greater Seattle, a unique junior golf program.
While sports and athletes are popular tools for teaching individual responsibility and achievement, golf is a distinctive platform that promotes respect for tradition, integrity and relationships that span generations.
