Seattle Recognized as a Top Performing Chapter

The First Tee of Greater Seattle has been designated an ACE Chapter in 2013, the highest recognition of achievement given by The First Tee Home Office. Out of 180 chapters of The First Tee around the world, the Greater Seattle chapter was one of only 3 chapters to receive this recognition. The First Tee Home Office evaluates the performance of all chapters through a system called ZONE (Zeroing in On Network Excellence). There are 26 ZONE performance criterion that evaluate chapter programs, operations, participant involvement, coaches, financials, the board and staff.

The First Tee of Greater Seattle would like to thank the board, coaches, volunteers, participants, parents, and supporters for all their efforts in creating the best program possible for the young people involved and the communities in which we serve.

Alumni Spotlight: Bryant Sutherland

When Bryant Sutherland decided to join the Air Force he knew values like integrity and perseverance would be key to his success. Having been involved in The First Tee for seven years as a participant, intern, and Assistant Coach, Bryant made a commitment to live a life based on these core values and strong character at a young age.

"The transition from The First Tee's Nine Core Values to the Air Force prepared him for great success," says Bryant's mother Latousha. "Bryant shared how it was easy for him to understand and comply as he was already familiar with integrity and doing the right thing. I can honestly say that The First Fee was a great blessing in helping me as a single mother keep my son moving in the right direction and it greatly  paid off."

Bryant is currently stationed at Shepard Air Force in Texas.
